She went to West Virginia University, Florida State University as well as graduated in the University of Central Florida. She was an instructor in television and theater production, but it was not until after she relocated into Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt she had really learned anything regarding comedy. Lisa Kudrow was her first instructor. She also learned how to write and perform comedy sketches. The experience she gained assisted her in preparing to play Larry David's wife on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The actress is at ease since the dialogue on this comedy is all made up. It is the Groundlings Theater is where she performs when time allows.
